The use of electrostatic powder paint is very important in various industries because this paint is compatible with the environment due to the lack of solvents, and it is also economically viable due to the possibility of recycling and reusing it many times.
In general, powder colors are divided into four categories:
– Electrostatic powder paint based on epoxy
This group of colors are used to cover parts that are exposed to high erosion and corrosion, such as industrial machines and pipes, electrical parts for armature insulation, medical and hospital equipment, household accessories, car parts decoration, etc.
– Electrostatic powder paint based on epoxy-polyester (hybrid)
This group is similar to the epoxy group, with the difference that because they contain polyester resin, they are very resistant to fading and weather conditions, but they are sensitive to sunlight and suitable for indoor use such as household appliances, auto parts (which are not used against sunlight) office furniture, school equipment, electrical components, internal signs and shelving.
– Electrostatic powder paint based on polyester (TGIC)
Polyester powder coatings are very similar to the polyester epoxy group, with the difference that they have a very good resistance to sunlight and are suitable for outdoor products, such as aluminum profiles, metal doors and windows, urban and outdoor furniture, outdoor lighting equipment, building structures, traffic signs, household appliances and car parts that are exposed to sunlight during use. (such as car coolers and wiper blades)
– Electrostatic powder paint based on polyurethane
Polyurethane paints have attracted the attention of agricultural machinery, iron fences, urban furniture and outdoor lighting equipment, traffic signs and aluminum profiles in recent years due to their beautiful, uniform appearance and excellent mechanical properties along with ideal chemical properties. Powder colors are produced with the above bases and in matte, semi-matte, super-matte, semi-glossy glosses, in leather, hammered, sanded, granite, wrinkled, decorative, varnished, metallic and cracked designs.
