Application of wood and furniture coating

Nitrocellulose paints are based on alkyd and nitrocellulose resins, which have good physical stability. The best advantage of these paints is their high drying speed, which does not allow the quality of the coating to decrease due to the presence of dust in the environment. It is very easy to paint with instant colors and they have the capability of instant polishing and re-coating. Also, nitrocellulose paints have a high resistance to moisture, and due to their high adhesion, they are considered a resistant and suitable coating for wooden surfaces.

Instant paints in the wood industry include two parts: glossy and matte topcoats and instant putties as under layers and fillers.

Matte and glossy instant colors are mainly used as matching color and middle layer.

Instant putties that have special extenders and fillers are used as spray filling putties, and by penetrating the wood fibers and during sanding, they fill the microscopic pores of the wood fibers, which results in the penetration of the next layers, prevents into the wood fibers.

Acid curing colors:

Lacquer and acid cure polyester colors are actually a two-component coating, the second component of which، is an acid catalyst. Acid cure polyester consists of a specialized alkyd resin with a partner resin called urea formaldehyde, which reacts between them in the presence of an acid catalyst and produces an integrated coating.

One of the advantages of acid cure polyesters is their quick drying and good solubility in instant thinners, and it is very easy to use like instant paints and is used as the final layer and top coat on instant colors.

In the past, one of the disadvantages of acid cure polyester was its yellowness, but today this problem has been minimized with the improvements made in its raw materials.
