In this test, a compressed tablet of powdered color (0.5 gr) is prepared and it is placed on a metal plate that is placed in the oven at 180° C for 15 mins.
We put the metal plate with the tablet again in the oven for 15 mins at an angle of 65 °C.
Then, the Flowability of the powder coating is measured according to the distance traveled by the molten powder in mm.

The molten tablet begins to move down under the influence of earth’s gravity on the inclined surface, but little by little due to the gelation, flowability of the powder decreases and stops moving.

In fact, this result can indicate the uniformity of the coating and the amount of coating on the edges.
